Diploma of Ministry

The Diploma of Ministry is a two year, full-time course.

The Diploma of Ministry is designed to help those serving full-time and those who want to serve full-time to be perfected in their service. It is a two-year course, and includes the subjects of Full-time Ministry, Gospel, Shepherding, Bible (life-studies), Ministry books, Life and Teamwork. The course may be likened to an apprenticeship, with a view to building up the full-timer’s desire and capacity for longer-term full-time ministry.

It is run from NZTC using Internet technology, so full-timers can serve full-time in their existing localities. The local church plays a crucial role in supporting the full-timers. Assessment will be conducted by NZTC tutors, mainly using Internet technology.

The course has been approved and accredited by NZQA, so students will be able to obtain Student Visas, apply for Student Allowances and receive a nationally recognised Diploma upon graduation.

The course will give full-timers access to many resources that will greatly enrich their service. For example, full-timers will have access to: a website with many resources, a library of gospel and shepherding experiences, PDAs with the Recovery Version, the hymnal, and multimedia presentations. Access to these resources will continue as long as you are full-time.
